His origin story begins on Long Island, where he was raised in an immigrant household defined by entrepreneurial highs and devastating lows. His father, a risk-taking entrepreneur, passed away while he was still in high school. Overnight, he found himself managing his family’s finances and hustling to support them.
At 19, he got licensed as an insurance agent and began his journey in financial services. (No, he no longer sells products.) He started college as a computer science major but graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a finance degree after realizing where he could have the greatest impact.
He has now worked in financial services for nearly two decades, working with a broad range of clients, from 22 to 70+, across professions like law, medicine, finance, and entrepreneurship. He’s fluent in their language and the challenges they face, from correcting mismanaged 401(k)s to addressing underinsured households to navigating unexpected windfalls and offshore asset transfers.
